Personal Care Assistant for a Young Girl P/t @

**POST: Support worker/Enabler**:
- We are looking to recruit a committed support worker/enabler to support a young girl who has a diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy
- This lovely young girl is lively, she does not have triggers and can be unfriendly when she can’t get her own way or she wants something she can’t have.
- Her favourite activities are: playing chase games but she can’t run so is a little slower than normal she also loves role play I.e. shopping etc she also loves to go shopping for real and help to put things in the basket and scan the shopping etc
**Main Duties**:
- To support the child for 5 hours per week x 52 weeks, plus an additional 5 hour’s x 13 weeks (during all school holidays).
- To build a secure relationship with the young girl and her family
- To support the young girl with accessing appropriate activities away from the home.
- To encourage interactions appropriate to the activities being accessed
- To support the young girl with continence issues
- To administer her rescue medication (Buccal Midazolam) as explained by her Epilepsy plan only when required.
**Hours**:
- 5 hours per week (52 weeks) plus additional 5 hours during all school holidays (additional 13 weeks). Days and times to be discussed at interview
- Essential Criteria
- Car driver is essential and must have Business Insurance.
- Have a high degree of initiative.
- Be punctual and reliable.
- Be flexible.
- Have a happy positive caring nature.
- Have an outgoing personality.
**Rates of pay**:
- £11.91 per hour. And 5.6 weeks holiday (pro rata)
