Pertemps Hemel Hempstead are currently looking for 2 Lead Maintenance Engineers for our client who specialise in the laundry technology market. This role is a permanent job and it is based withing Dunstable.
Overall job role
- Your role is to lead the shift and ensure the work is completed to the client needs and to see that the service, monitoring and repair all equipment in a safe and efficient manner during productive and non-productive shifts. You must liaise with both the onsitemanager and the office in regards to using equipment and for service/repairs if necessary.

**Responsibilities**:

- Leading each shift ensuring the job is completed to the highest standard, lead a team of 3-5 people.
- Always maintaining the highest level of professionalism.
You will be responsible for executing all services activities as planned, e.g. installation, maintenance, diagnosis, and emergency repairs.
- Take ownership and resolve problems onsite promptly and efficiently.
- Provide technical advice on services and products to clients on demand.
- Attend and assist with emergency break downs as required.
- Assist with Plant surveys and audits.
- Ensure all paperwork is completed (project completion, return to work forms, disciplinary investigations, stock on products, permits to work, raise PO's etc)
- To work in accordance to company policies and instructions, documentations forms such as, timesheets, daily log reports etc, regularly and on time.
- Ensure compliance and GDPR is always adhered to
- To take responsibility to Health and Safety regulations to ensure that yourself and your team are working in safe conditions.
Essentials
- Electrically competent. C&G236 Level 3
- Leadership experience
- Managing workloads under pressure
- Electrical testing and logical fault finding.
- Outstanding communication skills
- Willing to question colleagues and customers to broaden knowledge
- Fluent English speaking and written skills
Shifts and Rotas will be providing a month at a time. You must be willing to work both days and nights. Example
- Week 1- 5 days
Week 2- 2 days
Week 3- 5 nights
Week 4- 2 nights
12 hours shifts from 07:00am-19:00pm & 19:00pm-07:00am
Any time worked over the 12 hours will be paid at 1.5X hourly rate.
Weekend work is included.
Starting salary
- £48k-£50k dependant on experience.
