We are looking to employ an individual to join our emotional health and wellbeing team, delivering 1:1 support session with children ages 4-16 in schools.

Our emotional health and wellbeing programme provides help and support that is focussed on supporting children and young people to build resilience and develop healthy coping strategies so they can manage whatever life experiences they face and become well-rounded, healthy adults.

**Your day will consist of **
- To regularly deliver solution-focused and creative and imaginative strategies to work alongside parents/carers to develop their skills, knowledge, and resilience to meet the individual needs of their children.
- To develop and explore new and innovative ways of working with children and young people to address emotional/mental health issues.
- To work as part of the Emotional Health and Wellbeing service, to encourage families to actively participate in services that are identified as part of their assessed needs.
- Undertake activities, including home visits, outreach, to make contact and engage referred children, young people, and families.
- To coordinate and follow up on all support plan activities, liaising with other agencies such as schools, voluntary and statutory services as required.

**This job is for you, if**
- You have a minimum L3 qualification in one of the following qualifications or equivalent: Working with Children, Young People and Families, Youth Work/Youth and Community Work, Social Work, Counselling
- You have experience of working with and supporting young people with diverse complex needs.
- You have good communication skills both written and verbal.
- You have a calm personable nature and find appropriate resolutions when handling conflict.
- You are a resilient and confident team worker who can work on their own initiative or work as part of a team.
- You are a friendly, enthusiastic, hardworking individual.
- You enjoy working as part of a small staff team.
- You understand the need for confidentiality with a professional and caring approach to work.

Successful applicants will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS Disclosure.
