**The role**

Working as part of a vibrant and supportive team in a fast-paced environment, the Head of SEO and PPC will be a fully rounded marketing professional.

The Head of SEO and PPC will provide hands-on support for account managers, as well as building their commercial knowledge.

Key responsibilities:

- Work with the Senior Leadership Team to develop best practice SEO/PPC for the agency and regularly collaborate with agency peers to share learnings and opportunities for all clients.
- Own day to day relationships with our clients.
- Taking charge of client meetings & reports and ensuring clients are presented with the right data to show accurate performance indicators.
- Manage a team of marketers to deliver results driven, integrated campaigns.
- Support the development of website projects and the continued management and maintenance of website health.
- Collaborate with the full suite of marketing professionals to deliver excellent SEO & PPC campaigns.
- Manage client expectations and delegate tasks appropriately to deliver projects on budget and to deadlines.
- Organise client accounts, accurately quote for projects, support the Directors and Senior team with new business opportunities and actively grow client accounts and the overall SEO and PPC offering.

- Experience in a similar role at a senior level and excellent leadership skills.
- Be fully up-to-date with industry developments.
- Skilled at identifying clients’ needs and designing bespoke technical strategies for them to achieve their goals.
- A passion for emerging platforms and a broad knowledge of effective SEO & PPC strategies and techniques.
- An excellent understanding of Google and Google’s Search Quality Guidelines.
- Thorough understanding of HTML, CSS and web standards.
- Good knowledge of JavaScript.
- Analytical, with a proven ability to interpret large amounts of information and research, with the ability to distil the most important/relevant information.
- Passionate about best-in-class customer experience.
- Highly literate and numerate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to deliver clear and concise ideas to internal and external stakeholders and produce top quality written documentation.
- Excellent face-to-face presentation skills, with the gravitas and credibility to deliver new ideas and report on successes.
- Deep strategic expertise across content marketing, technical SEO, on-page, PPC and digital PR.
- Confident at supporting senior managers whilst leading junior team members.
- Attention to detail being an Analytical & Critical thinker.
- Experience in industry tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, VWO, Convert, SEMrush, Ahrefs, SimilarWeb, ScreamingFrog, SiteBulb, Hotjar and many more.
- Adaptability, flexibility and mobility - you will be responsive and adaptable to change and new information.
- Relevant degree and/or professional accreditation would be an advantage.
- Minimum 7 years of work experience, at least 3 years of that experience in agency management.
- Minimum 3 years hands-on project management experience with ability to manage competing projects, priorities and deadlines.
- Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products.
