HR Generalist

As a HR Generalist you will report directly to the Senior HR Business Partner forming part of the People team based in our Total Fitness Support Centre at our flagship gym in Wilmslow.
This role is fast paced, reactive and requires a confidential professional with buckets of resilience, assertiveness, attention to detail and with a high level of emotional intelligence. We are looking for someone to think outside the box of administration processes using your initiative when needed. This role requires a strong communicator who is able to engage whilst influencing all levels. Confidentiality of the highest level is required, you will be tested on your discretion at all times aswell as exceptional organisational skills.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a HR junior to learn much more than the administration of HR, this role allows you to be actively involved in all aspects of an employee's journey with a clear career pathway within the HR sector. As a HR Generalist you need to be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a fun team but equally independently. You must already do a similar role in a fast-paced working environment.
Working hours will be Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9am until 5.30pm with an hour break
**Responsibilities**
- Processing of new starters, including Proof of Right to Work in the UK checks, information gathering and collating, drawing up contracts and offer letters, sending IT requests, processing on payroll.
- Processing of contract changes, including sending out letters, updating on payroll and with IT - Processing of leavers, including sending out letters, updating on payroll and with IT, exit interviews
- Ensuring all Young workers have a Risk Assessment on file
- Filing on employee personnel files
- Dealing with reference requests
- Conducting reference requests for potential employees
- Control of DBS checks
- Scanning in of physical letters such as DEAs, AEO, Child Maintenance letters
- Chasing up of signed documents with line managers
- Processing uniform orders - approving those requested online from clubs
- Conduct payroll checks and audits where necessary
- Note taking for HR cases
- Training up HODs and GMs new to the business on all things HR admin
- Building relationships with peers and stakeholders
- Building strong relationships with HR Business Partners
- Run the staff lottery

**Job Type**: Part-time
**Salary**: From £10.50 per hour
Expected hours: 24 per week
