Claims Handler

Opus Vitae are actively recruiting for a **claims handler/general broking assistant **to join a highly prestigious insurance company based within the Shrewsbury area.

**Hours of work**: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm

**Salary**: Minimum £25,000pa, negotiable dependent upon experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Handling claims on both commercial and personal lines
- Processing and investigating insurance claims relating to all policies
- Being involved within the claims process from start to settlement/repudiation
- Identifying any potential fraudulent activity
- Decision making based on the extent and validity of a claim
- Providing support to the full broking team

Essential Skills:

- Previous experience within claims handling in the commercial insurance sector
- Able to work on own initiative and have proven ability in handling all types of claims
- Excellent communication and administration experience
- Computer literate, confident using Microsoft Office package
