**Principal Network and Infrastructure Specialist**

Innovative organisation seeks Network Specialist to join during an exciting period of growth.

As Principal Network and Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for leading, managing and developing the IT network, voice and connectivity infrastructure environments.

This is a delivery focused role which will see you playing a key role in transforming the Digital and Data services from legacy systems to modern platforms.

A salary of circa £50,000 is offered along with a competitive benefits package. The position is a 12 month fixed term contract, based in Birmingham and will allow for hybrid and agile working.

**Responsibilities**
- Manage the delivery of the network, voice and connectivity infrastructure environment
- Manage the administration, configuration, and development of network services
- Develop the network, voice and connectivity infrastructure (cloud and on-premises)
- Set best practice and policies within the network infrastructure provision
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures and technical system documentation
- Deliver multiple significant and highly complex networking and infrastructure projects
- Instil a culture of automation across all Cloud and On-Premises workloads
- Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and opportunities for networking services
- Ownership for the backup and performance of the network infrastructure
- Ensure the capture of data to develop the network and connectivity architecture
- Work alongside external suppliers and consultants in implementing solutions
- Explore new and emerging cloud technologies to provide a modern, scalable architecture

**Requirements**:

- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent
- Extensive experience within networking and infrastructure environments
- Experience with Software defined netwok technologies
- Knowledge of scripting technologies
- Experience working in an enterprise network environment (desirable)
- Multi-site experience (desirable)
