**Overview**
2fawcett have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Buyer to join our client in Chesterfield on a full-time, permanent basis. As the Senior Buyer, you will build and develop strong working relationships with suppliers and be a key part of the senior managementteam.
Role & Responsibilities of the Senior Buyer
- Building and developing strong working relationships with suppliers
- Reacting to any issues and providing solutions to any supplier problems
- Management of stock ordering and monitoring stock levels
- Ensuring stock is delivered on time and measuring supplier chain effectiveness
- Conducting regular analysis across all products and brands
- Conducting competitor analysis; providing reports and strategies to react quickly to market changes
- Attendance at trade shows in the UK and overseas
- Researching and sourcing new products, with emphasis on sourcing market leading products
- Ensure all products meet company quality and safety standards
**Requirements of the Senior Buyer**:

- Experienced buyer with strong commercial awareness and proven record in sourcing new leading products
- Direct experience negotiating terms with suppliers
- Outstanding organisation skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and work to multiple deadlines
- Advanced Excel, knowledge of database sourcing and comfortable with ERP systems
- May need to travel independently within the UK and overseas, including potential overnight stays
