1.Main Purpose of Job

Receptionist for the school and to offer administrative support to ensure compliance with LEA and school requirements.

2. Main Responsibilities and Duties:

- To present the professional and welcoming face of the School to all visitors, staff and students, including telephone callers
- To ensure all visitors are signed into the School in accordance with safeguarding procedures, including managing the main School gate intercom system at all times
- To ensure the overall appearance of the reception area is tidy, professional and presentable at all times
- General administration duties such as typing of letters, photocopying, filing and the sorting of daily incoming and outgoing post
- To liaise with parents and families; in person, on the telephone and electronically
- To maintain the school appointments diary and liaising with staff involved
- Importing of student photographs from school photographer onto SIMS
- To provide general administrative support to the School as required

Facts and Figures:
Full-time = 37 hours per week (term time only, 44.8 paid weeks)
Grade 3 Points 5-7 (Actual salary £20,191 - £20,873)

Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks appropriately

High level of attention to detail and accuracy to work c. Physical Effort and Working Conditions:
Working in an office environment, located at the Main Entrance of the School. Sensitivity is required regarding reference to and efficient storage of confidential items and information.

Work at a VDU screen.

d. Contacts and Relationships:
Good level of interpersonal and communication skills, with a good standard of written and spoken English.

The post holder needs to be able to contact and communicate well with all stakeholders including business and community people, students and parents. e. Additional Information:
To be successful in this role you must understand, support and mirror the ethos and values of the school and a desire for constant improvement f. Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Educated to GCSE Level or equivalent

Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Packages

Proficient in the use of computers and databases

Knowledge of SIMS is advantageous

Discrete, loyal, committed, patient, flexible, firm, ability to work independently and make decisions.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.18-£12.59 per hour

Expected hours: 37 per week
