**Timesheet Clerk - Environment**
**Thames Water (Greater London & Surrounding Areas)**
**What you will be doing**:
As Timesheet/GRN Clerk you will be required to provide support and assistance to the commercial department.
You will:
- Assist in the smooth running of the Thames Water GT commercial department through effective and efficient completion of monitoring and support tasks in accordance with the required deadlines.
- Undertake various commercial/finance-related tasks which may include:
- Running various reports from Oracle and Hyperion.
- Reviewing and monitoring overhead costs
- Reviewing, analysis of, supporting the submission of timecards.
- Checking timecards have been completed and chasing up late timecards
- Preparing weekly and ad-hoc reports runs.
- Investigating and following-up on payment queries.
- Chasing clients to ensure debts are paid on time.
- Advising on Allocating timecard costs.
- Provide support to other members of the Commercial/Finance team as and when required.
- Assist with calculating the cost of R&D tax credits in standard format
- Assist the team with printing and copying of documents.
- Assist in the control the purchase and issue of stationery, maintaining stationery stock at the required levels.
- Assist in maintain archive databases and electronic records including destruction requests when required.
- Check and authorise invoices/GRNs for payment, dealing with any queries as they arise.
- Assist the Training team with the input of relevant training courses for CITB claim.
- Provide cover for reception area as required.

- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organisation skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
- A customer focused approach.
- Proactive and willing to learn.
- Fully conversant with the Microsoft suite of packages especially excel.
- Aware of individual Health and Safety responsibilities and adheres to company health and safety policy and procedures.

- Good attention to detail
Technical/Professional qualifications
- A working knowledge of commercial/finance through job experience or training
- Previous relevant business experience or transferable skills gained in other areas
- Fully conversant with the Microsoft suite of packages especially excel
