This is within our leading and first class operating department.
We’re looking for highly motivated, friendly and hard working person to join our fabulous Theatre Escort Team.
Our department provides services relating to neurosurgery, spinal surgery, ENT, rigid endoscopy, gastroenterology, orthopaedics, trauma/major incident, paediatric surgery, urology, thoracic surgery, plastics, maxillofacial surgery & paediatric dentistry. We have a total of 9 theatres and a procedure room which includes a state of the art dedicated Neurosurgery & Intraoperative MRI suite. The main role of theatre escort is to bring and return our patients to the various wards or other areas, in a safe and caring manner. We need a friendly and enthusiastic person to fulfil this role and help to make our patients experiences safe and welcoming.

Supporting the carer/parent with compassion and reassurance. Giving good, clear communication and instructions to them before they leave the department so they can return for their child after surgery.
You will expected to physically active for periods of any shift in which you will be moving patients on trolleys, lifting, moving and changing compressed air cylinders, transporting the department waste to the hospital central waste disposal area, going to the laboratories and wards around the trust and occasionally across to the RHH to collect equipment or instruments.
