**About the role**:
As the Internal Communications Advisor at Matalan, your role is pivotal to foster a cohesive and informed organisational culture by crafting engaging communications and sharing inspiring colleague stories. You will be instrumental in aligning our internal messaging with Matalan's vision, purpose, and values, ensuring clarity, consistency, and resonance across all levels of the business.

**What you will do**:

- Develop and implement internal communication plans that support Matalan's vision, strategic priorities, and values.
- Coordinate the delivery of key messages, announcements, and updates to colleagues, ensuring timely and accurate dissemination.
- Collaborate with department heads and project teams to ensure alignment of messaging and consistency in communication efforts.
- Monitor the effectiveness of internal communications through feedback and analytics, making data-driven adjustments as necessary.
- Provide guidance and support to leadership on communication best practices, helping to enhance colleague engagement and morale.
- Manage internal events and initiatives aimed at fostering a sense of community and pride among Matalan colleagues.

**About You**:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and storytelling ability.
- Strong ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Previous experience in internal communications, or related fields preferred.
- Good understanding of internal communication principles and best practices.
- Proven experience in developing and delivering impactful communications in a fast-paced environment for a wide range of audiences.
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving and continuous learning.
