Whether your role is to improve process efficiency, monitor aircraft movements or oversee safety measures, you’ll be vital to the continuing smooth running of our airport.

As the Operations Controller, your key duty will be to collaboratively work with a dynamic team in the efficient delivery of Stand Allocation. Your role involves optimising facility utilisation and responding to changes in operational requirements. Additionally, you will monitor arrivals and departures information, providing valuable insights to the Aircraft Operations Duty Manager for informed decision-making and strategic developments.

In this capacity, you will be tasked with the vigilant monitoring of IT systems, promptly addressing identified faults. Your role extends to liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including Air Traffic Control, Airlines, Control Authorities and Terminal Management. This combined approach ensured effective management of disruptions, working diligently to minimise them when possible. All actions will be aligned with regulations and Heathrow’s policy.
- Monitor the operation of IT systems and take appropriate action.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Action reported air bridge and fixed electrical ground power faults.
- Allocate stands to maximise utilisation of facilities and respond to unplanned changes.
- Knowledge of the airside environment.
- Good analytical and communication skills.
- Familiarity with current HAL systems.
- Strong stakeholder engagement.
