The school is ambitious for pupils to study for exams where possible.’SENCo Job Description- As SEN Administration Assistant you will provide a comprehensive range of high quality administrative support to ensure that all aspects of the day to day activities operate efficiently and effectively.- Support the SENCo- Create a friendly, welcoming and supportive environment- Work as effective member and support the wider SEN team- Work within and contribute toward the Cleeve Meadow aims, objectives and valuesFor this role, you will have:
- Essential- The ability to manage and maintain adequate written records- Experience of using technology and IT skills including excel/word and Google Drive- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills- Ability to communicate effectively with pupils, parents, colleagues and external professionals- Ability to maintain records and manage day to day administrative duties working to deadlines- Ability to produce high quality letters, reports, presentations and documents- An ability to deliver to given timelines and targets- To be able to use initiative and adopt a creative approach to problem solving- The ability to work flexibly, prioritise, multi-task and work well under pressure- The ability to work effectively without supervision where appropriate- The aptitude and desire to work collaboratively and flexibly, supporting others- Have a methodical and accurate approach to work- Good timekeeping and punctuality- Has knowledge to support recording of EHCP’s and completion of Annual Review documentation and use of various local authority portals for submission- Has a knowledge of the range of procedures for preparation, recording and storage of relevant SEN documentation- The ability to understand and implement policies, procedures and legal requirements relating to the supporting of SEN- Has knowledge, understanding and annual training of safeguarding.Desirable- Have a graduate qualification- Have a Paediatric First Aid certificate or willingness to undertake Health and Safety training- Previous experience working with children- Previous SEN experience would be an advantage- Some relevant experience working with external professionals such as social services, education and health- The ability to recognise and deal with emergency situations- Have knowledge of the policies and procedures relating to
