**Role**:Primary School Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant - Immediate Start

**Location**: Sidcup

Are you an upbeat individual with a drive to learn and grow in a Teaching Assistant role?

Here at New Formation, we are working with many schools across South London to hire SEN Teaching Assistant position asap. In this role you will be required to work with children of all primary ages, who have Special Education Needs, primarily Autism.

**As an SEN Teaching Assistant, it is essential that you have**:

- A genuine passion for supporting children with SEN
- Have awareness of, and ideally experience with SEN
- Have a natural enthusiasm for working with young children
- The ability to monitor and record a child’s progress
- An understanding of safeguarding children
- A positive, caring, energetic, can-do attitude
- Be proactive, compassionate and patient
- Be nurturing and caring in your approaches
- Be able to communicate effectively within a team

**Duties include (but aren’t limited to)**:

- 1:1 support with children on the Autistic spectrum
- Supporting the class as a whole
- Assisting the class teacher
- Fostering relationships with parents
- Caring and looking after children during break times and lunch times
- Supervising children during activities
- Managing challenging behaviour
- Motivating children and being an excellent role model

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: £85.00-£95.00 per day

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
