We're delighted to support a market leader of therapeutic Children's Residential Services recruit for a Residential Support Worker to join their 4 bed home in Newcastle. This is a beautiful home set in it's own large, private gardens and furnished to a high standard, it's a lovely home with a good atmosphere.
Duties include
- Implement and contribute to therapeutic care plans for each child.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to children in a nurturing manner.
- Foster positive relationships with children.
- Create a safe and secure environment.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to address individual needs.
- Use therapeutic interventions to support the children.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of each child's progress.
- Work closely with external professionals, including therapists and social workers.
- Uphold and promote the highest standards of safeguarding.
**Requirements**:
- Relevant qualification - Level 3 Residential Childcare or willingness to work towards it.
- Previous experience in a therapeutic residential childcare setting.
- Understanding of trauma-informed care and therapeutic approaches.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to connect with and engage children in a positive manner.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of children.
- Commitment to promoting the well-being and development of each child.
- Enhanced DBS clearance and other relevant checks.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children.
- Work on a shift pattern to ensure 24/7 cover including lates, earlies, sleep ins and waking nights (additional payment provided)
