Job Introduction As an
**ER Specialist** at Sodexo, you will be an integral part of the ER Services team, working remotely to deliver responsive and compliant ER advisory services. Your primary focus will be on minimising risk by reducing absence and disciplinary cases across our UK&I business. By providing expert advice and coaching to line managers, employees, and HR colleagues, you will contribute to fostering a culture of fairness and respect within our organisation. Your expertise in employee relations and your commitment to providing exceptional service will have a profound impact on our UK&I business.

**What you’ll do**:

- Provide remote ER support to line managers, ensuring timely and credible advice within the HR Shared Service Centre timeframes.
- Support complex ER cases involving suspensions, investigations, disciplinary actions, grievances, and absence management, providing full case management and administrative support.
- Collaborate with the ER Services Manager to develop productivity metrics and dashboards that highlight team performance and segment ER trends.
- Produce trend reports to identify opportunities for manager capability development, assisting HR Business Partners in service reviews.
- Ensure team members are working efficiently and effectively, meeting performance targets and continuously adding value to segments.
- Maintain awareness of current employment legislation, company policy changes, and segment-specific knowledge to deliver compliant ER advice.
- Contribute to a cohesive HR Services Team by providing support across functions, ensuring a seamless and customer-centric HR service.

**What you bring**:

- Proven people management skills
- Operational management of service delivery to diverse customer base
- Able to provide remote ER support for a multi site operation
- Demonstrates ability to manage multiple customer requirements and cases simultaneously in an organised manner and within timeframes.
- Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to write in a clear, understandable and concise manner
- Understanding of customer requirements and is able to take ownership of problems/issues and recommend practical HR solutions
- Pro active and practical approach to problem solving, with the desire to get a positive result at all times.
- An understanding of restructuring, contract mobilisation, mergers and acquisitions, TUPE transfers etc and ability to produce accurate redundancy calculations
- A practical understanding of regulatory industries, governing policies and their impact to ER issues
- A practical understanding of unionised environments, settlement agreements, TUPE legislation and Employment Tribunals
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office programmes

**Desirable**
- Experience of working within a Shared Service environment or busy modern HR department
- Knowledge of issues surrounding Compliance issues eg eligibility to work in UK, DBSs etc
- Understanding of HR systems/technology / SAP HR / CRM
- Experience of working within a similar operating model
- Knowledge of Agenda for Change and other employee terms and conditions within a complex work environment
- CIPD qualified
