Head of Regional Claims Teams

Your New role
As the Head of Regional Claims, you will be responsible for ensuring multimillion-pound regional recovery of income from network claims and defence of regional small claims across the Strategic Road Network. You will also be responsible for the regionalclaims teams, with line management responsibility of the regional claims managers.
Our regions are required to work in a consistent manner as well as look for improved ways of working across the end-to-end process, which this role must ensure and manage. This role is also an integral part of the leadership team with responsibility fordelivering the strategy and vision of Network Claims.
What you’ll be leading on
- Management of the regional team’s proportion of the £20m income recovery target
- Oversite of red claims process within region - to ensure timely information is being provided to the regional teams to determine liability and reach the correct decision
- Contribute towards the management of the Workforce Plan, resource budgets and recruitment of staff across regions.
- Work with, and support, the Director of Network Claims and Transformation, Head of Network Claims, Head of Complex Claims and Regional Claims Managers to identify and build required capability to enable the teams to present and defend claims within theindustry with confidence and knowledge.
- Part of the Network Claims Leadership team with responsibility for delivering the Strategy and Vision of Network Claims.
- Support decisions in relation to when to outsource litigation work, contribute towards the review and performance monitoring of our Litigation Partner and their contribution to the recovery targets.
- Manage the regional claims teams, providing full management and wellbeing support, appraisals, coaching and career development advice to support an engaged and high performing team.
To be Successful
- In depth understanding of the insurance industries principles and practices.
- Knowledge of the common law regarding network claims.
- CII / CILA qualification or willing to work towards achieving this
- Experience of implementing / using claims systems to manage and report against the claims portfolio.
- Experience of managing and leading large diverse and geographically dispersed teams in a casework management environment.
- Proven stakeholder management skills and building of effective relationships with both internal and external customers / colleagues and to influence others to embed change
