As part of this commitment we are investing £14.7million into Children’s Social Care in Oldham to ensure that social workers have the resources they need to work effectively with children and families, including reduced caseloads.

**Role Overview**:
As Head of Assessment and Intervention you will be responsible for the delivery of effective child-centred practice across our Assessment and Intervention Service. In this role you will work alongside a second Head of Service to provide direct line management for several teams and have responsibility for the provision of Assessments and Child in Need interventions.

As Head of Children Looked After (Permanence) you will be responsible for our Children Looked After and Care Leaving Teams. Our personal advisers, social workers and team managers are passionate about ensuring good outcomes for children in care and care leavers. We need a leader who is equally committed to achieving the best possible life chances for our care experienced children and young people.

These are critical leadership roles within Children’s Social Care, and you will be expected to provide strong operational leadership to ensure that our children and families receive high quality services which meet their needs.
