An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Fitter to join up with a global company supplying market leading equipment servicing the food and beverage, Pharma, Marine & Wastewater industries.
As a Mechanical Fitter you should have a passion for all things Mechanical as well as Engineering background with the ability to work as part of a team or separately whilst taking pride in your work and maintaining high levels and standard of professionalismand precision.
As a Mechanical Fitter you will be responsible for working on the disassembly of large scale rotating mechanical equipment to allow the parts to be cleaned and serviced before reassembling and taking the product to the final testing phase before being sentback to the client.
**The key roles as a Mechanical Fitter**:

- Stripping a variety of Containers in readiness for inspection
- Cleaning of equipment in order to service/repair
- Dismantling and reassembly of complex gearboxes
- Use of technical drawings to assist in disassembly and re-assembly
- Using a range of standard hand tools (imperial & metric)
- Using a range of special tools (imperial & metric)
- Operating large cranes and different lifting equipment
- Using a range of welding equipment with TIG welding training being given whilst on-site

**Key Experience/Knowledge as a Mechanical Fitter**:

- Apprenticeship/Qualification in a relatable field (or working experience in similar background)
- Ability to work with hand, Pneumatic and Hydraulic tools
- Come from a background in a workshop environment
- Ability to interpret drawings and technical manuals that include both Imperial & Metric dimensions
- Experience of using cranes, slings and small forklift trucks (Desirable) as full training will be provided
