- The Role:_

As the Search & Navigation Specialist within the Optimisation team, you will be responsible for the day to day management and optimisation of the New Look websites across all devices specialising in navigation, search and internal linking strategy. Reporting to the Optimisation Manager, you will support in the execution of site selling strategies, delivering optimal customer journeys with a focus on protecting conversion.

The Search & Navigation Specialist will be responsible for managing and developing an Assistant.
- Responsibilities:_
- Managing & optimising onsite search, navigation, and targeted banner content, ensuring relevance and optimal journeys- Planning, testing, and executing ranking strategies and rules at a search level, to ensure relevance across all channels/devices- Ensuring overall site standards are adhered to and live issues promptly rectified- Liaising with Trade, Marketing and Buying & Merchandising teams to identify key trends per season and ensuring journeys are optimised to inspire and convert- Working with the Discovery Optimisation Manager to ensure smooth execution of site selling strategies in line with business objectives- Engaging relevant teams to plan and deliver key trade events, campaign launches and other initiatives across owned areas of site whilst supporting the rollout of new features and digital products- Working with Experimentation team to ensure that where possible content is matched to user based on user profile, context (on site) or behaviour on site- Supporting Digital & IT teams on system and tool development, requirements, and testing- Producing in-depth search and navigational reporting by channel, highlighting opportunities and underperformance along with actions to deliver results- Identifying & responding to new market trends by highlighting competitor activity, trade opportunities (gap Analysis) and website functionality- Managing Discovery Optimisation Assistant and responsible for their long-term development- Supporting the Senior and Discovery Optimisation Managers in delivery of wider strategy, driving the team forward through effective leadership, training, and development- Acting as the go for Optimisation, leading by example and ensuring the work environment is positive and nurturing- Conducting regular master class sessions with the wider business to ensure the Discovery Optimisation vision is clear and in line with requirements- Holding in depth knowledge of the tools/systems- About You:_
- Minimum of 3 years experience within ecommerce (inc. management of search and navigation)- Proven track record of working in a fast paced sales driven / trading environment- Strong organisational and cross-functional organisation skills- Competent in using a wide range of technical tools and systems- High commercial acumen with a customer focused mindset- Excellent communicator with strong motivation and leadership skills- Analytical with ability to ability to deliver insights and actions from data- Self-motivated with experience in a fast-moving trade environment- Why New Look?_
