**About The Role**:
The trading specialist for food service operations is accountable to creating and outlining the tools and procedures to deliver our operation. They will provide on hand support to concepts within remit coaching teams and completing collaborative action plans. They will also promote and support best practice of delivery of current and newly developed operational policies, systems and procedures. The role requires regular communication of trading and operational changes to retail as well as the reporting of performance and key operational metrics on a weekly and periodic basis. Leading on key projects which maximise sales performance and optimise margin and operating profit. Understanding of the kit used and working with property to make sure the most efficient layouts are planned and latest equipment in place.

You will be responsible for things like:

- Operational execution of key launches and policy changes
- Excellent stakeholder feedback
- Milestones achieved across operational priorities
- Growth in deli performance
- Delivery of unknown loss and waste targets
- Reporting on key metrics to drive business forward
- Rhythm and routine established for foodservice areas in retail
- Continuous review of packaging and equipment needed to run the operation

**About You**:
To be successful in the role you will need the following:

- Understanding of retail and hospitality operations
- Knowledge of key stakeholders and where they sit across the business
- Innovative free thinker - finds better ways of executing tasks, an ability to see ‘the bigger picture’
- Flexibility to work both in office environment and then alongside colleagues in stores getting to root of our operation
- Tenacious approach - does not wilt in the face of setbacks maintains positive approach
- Good attention to detail and drive to ensure completion of tasks to a high standard, within agreed timelines
- Confident and articulate with the ability to influence at all levels
- Good communication and IT skills to produce reporting and regular written communication to different levels
- Strong interpersonal skills & teamwork - ability to successfully
