**Head of Food & Drink Department**

**The Pilgrm Lounge & Café, 25 London Street, W2 1HH**

The role F&D Head of Department covers all operational aspects & safe running of the F&D areas, this includes team management and development, financial performance, sales and revenue generation, the implementation, execution & maintenance of the departmental strategy & all its connections, start to end management of events business, key local neighbourhood knowledge, supplier & partner relationships and taking a proactive approach to new business opportunities focusing on driving demand and delivering return.

The activities this role undertakes are an integral part of the customer experience. You will be expected to seamlessly navigate both the front and back of house areas, demonstrating strong skills in both and action enhancements in a timely fashion & cost-effective manner. At all times the culture must be embodied, and the brand image upheld.

**Customer Journey**
- A high level of presentation of the F&D spaces
- Regular inspections of all areas, all actions to be managed in a time efficient & cost-effective manner. Alignment with strategy & budget
- Manage the customer experience ensuring satisfaction throughout their time at The Lounge & Cafe
- Accessibility, presence & engagement with customers, always leading by example
- Responding and actioning all guest feedback on a regular basis
- Share innovative ideas for positive change and customer experience enhancement

**Department Development & Standards**
- Accountability for brand, service standards & delivery
- Creation, implementation & delivery of strategy & quarterly plans
- Focus on profitability, aligned with company standards & needs of business
- Awareness and understanding of cost implications throughout the department
- Identifying and sharing new leads, ideas and opportunities
- Review all department processes at regular intervals to always guarantee efficiency
- In a timely manner, identify for both yourself & the team areas for improvement & training, seeking the resource and advice required to make the necessary changes
- Strong understanding of site legal compliance & emergency protocols, including but not limited to licensing, GDPR, H&S, fire & security
- Maintain strong working relationships with all suppliers & partners through open and clear communication, at all levels
- Manage scheduling of staff hours, keeping wage costs and holiday scheduling in mind
- Monthly reviews of department P&L - actions to be taken for improvements month on month

**Marketing & Revenue**
- Maintaining strong working relationships with all required departments to ensure input towards all current strategies, good communication and aligned focus, understanding of marketplace positioning, planned direction, demand forecasting, yielding, comp set strategies and ideas to grow revenue
- Financial target achievement
- Attend revenue meetings as scheduled, prepare & share in advance the required data analysis & reporting for key decision making
- Sound understanding of financial performance outcomes, forecasting, employee & customer engagement
- Quality control & management of all related systems and platforms to the department. Ongoing quality checks of procedures for all comms and data.

**Local Neighbourhood**
- Build and maintain relationships with all notable neighbours & suppliers which can assist in the positioning of The Lounge & Cafe and drive business
- Remain connected to the local area to enhance the customer experience with recommendations and actively encourage your teams to do the same
- Research, create & involvement with local events & hosting of events at The Lounge
- Strong understanding & professional relationships with the competitive set

**People & Culture**
- Awareness, maintaining and continued improvements to our culture
- Adhering to guidelines & ensuring teams do the same, ensuring brand standards are adhered to, set & achieve high levels of performance
- Flexibility with working days as the business needs require
- Accountability for people and property

**Salary**: £35,000.00 per year
