**Job Description Summary**: Here at BD an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Specialist to join our Home care division This position will be based between three sites Winnersh, Crawley and West Worthing. The base location is Worthing.

The main objectives of the role will be the following:

- Quality Management System processes and procedures, including Information Governance requirements for the BDI Home-care business
- Being Quality Business Partner to the West Worthing site and related network
- In conjunction with the Manager Quality develop the Quality Management support and contribution to the business and their strategy and programs
- Responsible for reviewing and establishing the company quality goals each year, in collaboration with the Manager Quality.
- Conduct internal audits and coordinate and manage external ISO audit schedules, correspondence and closing of findings.
- Manage and establish / maintain certification of ISO 9001 requirements across the business.
- Information Governance lead; manage, establish and maintain patient confidentiality and required notifications, in collaboration with and according the policy setting by the BDX European Privacy Office and the NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit requirements.
- Responsible for the Documentation Control Process and Documentation Change Control Process and act as the local document control tool point of contact.
- Implement BDX Corporate and regional procedures and processes including Quality Management System reviews, as appropriate; implement and maintain processes required to support the business
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality requirements relating to service and repair for capital equipment placed on the market, in collaboration with Technical Services.
- Manage any local inspections & audits and ensure appropriate engagement with local, regional and business leadership.
- Generate and provide metrics and reports
- Liaise with internal and external customers as required, including local distributors, Agents and Non BDX OEM Suppliers.
- Provide (quality) training to local staff as required, ensuring BDX remains in compliance with established quality and regulatory requirements.

**Education & experience**:

- Experience from other backgrounds other than Medical will be considered
- Collaborating with all levels of management to drive improvements. Customer centric focused.
- Good working knowledge of Quality Management System requirements, in particular ISO 9001, 2015
- Strong relationship building skills; demonstrated leadership coupled with the ability to work well with people at all levels and in all functions of the organization as well as with external regulatory agencies.
- Good analytical skills; attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities at the same time.
- Excellent communications, technical and presentation skills.
- Computer skills (Advanced with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint).
