The VML Data Consulting team helps businesses accelerate and transform by reimagining marketing capabilities, operating models, technology, and organisational change using data, advanced analytics, and artificial intelligence.

**Job Overview**

VML Data Consulting is looking for a Business Consultant to join the team and help deliver some of the most advanced data-driven solutions to unique business problems by leveraging our experience and knowledge. The Business Consultant will own and shape the delivery of client engagements and projects in multiple areas such as data-driven marketing, digital transformation, data and A.I. ethics, data management and governance, and data architecture. Using our consulting methodology, you'll be required to own the delivery of capability maturity assessments, gap analysis, creation of strategy and future state vision, process design, and value creation.

The Business Consultant will have worked with large, listed clients, and have in-depth experience in marketing data and technology consulting and in large-scale transformation projects. The role requires a good technical understanding of marketing technology and its impact on business outcomes and is squarely focused on the delivery of services and solutions, ensuring maximum client ROI.

The Business Consultant reports to the Business Consulting Director, based in out of VML's London office. Internally you will work with teams of Account Leads, Strategists, Program Managers, Business Analysts and Technology Consultants across the VML and WPP.

**Responsibilities**
- **Business Strategy & Transformation**:Lead enterprise client consulting engagements, helping them define a data-driven vision and a strategy based on their business objectives and key jobs to be done, and translating this into a clear value-based roadmap, articulating the case for change and aligning all stakeholders around this vision.
- **Technology Consulting & Solutioning**: Lead marketing technology architecture and data management projects, including assessment and procurement of new technology vendors, and map these to business capabilities, accelerate solution selection and delivery (user requirements, concept design and scaled agile) and help clients with adoption of technology (ideation, prototyping and incubation)
- **Operations & Change Management**: Help clients establish new operating structures, ownership and decision rights, roles and responsibilities, and new ways of working and collaborating across teams in order to implement new data capabilities, adopt them and maintain them over time.
- **Thought-Leadership. **Deliver thought-leadership on major data and technology developments, including news, trends, and product updates. You'll be able to speak confidently both internally and externally about new developments and translate succinctly and in simple terms what this means for us and our clients.
- **Collaboration**:Support the rest of the Consulting team, and the wider VML EMEA Data team by helping identify new business opportunities, work together on new product development, and maintain an agile and collaborative working environment

**Requirements**:
In addition to a strong capability in data and digital business and marketing strategy, the Business Consultant must have a working knowledge of marketing, advertising and commerce technology platforms and tools and VML's key technology vendor partners.
- Demonstrable experience in management consultancy, business strategy, business analysis or digital transformation, and competency in technical consulting, solutions design and sales support in a dynamic data and technology environment.
