**An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Patient Safety Team for a Patient Safety Practitioner**

Following the publication of the National Patient Safety Strategy and the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework, GMMH's Patient Safety Team are looking for a registered healthcare professional to join the team in the role of a Patient Safety Practitioner. You will be joining an established team who support the Trust's positive patient safety culture, this is an excellent opportunity for someone wishing to build upon existing experience and further develop their interest in patient safety as well as the wider quality improvement agenda.

The post of Patient Safety Practitioner is critical to ensure that national guidelines and standards are met, and to support a proportionate response in the management of patient safety incidents, and the associated learning. There will be opportunities to take learning from patient safety into the wider Quality Improvement agenda and be involved in specific projects.

This is a highly visible role, working with the Head of Patient Safety and Patient Safety Team Manager to provide specialist advice and leadership to Trust colleagues and will provide an excellent opportunity to build on your previous experience in patient safety, quality improvement and incident management.
