MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE BUSINESS:
As a UX Designer (Associate) at Kainos, you will deliver intuitive service experiences based on user needs and design principles. You will be passionate about needs-based design and an advocate for design thinking and service design.

You will be part of and supported by our growing Experience Design capability creating exemplary digital services. We are supportive, collaborative, talented, and hugely passionate about user-centered design. We are not about marketing and dark patterns; we are all about making a positive, measurable impact on millions of people through quality products and services.

MINIMUM (ESSENTIAL) REQUIREMENTS
- A good working knowledge of User Centred Design
- Contributes to style guides and design systems and is able to identify design patterns in response to user need
- Is an active participant and collaborator in ideation workshops
- Comfortable defining and designing user journey maps
- Works closely with project team to prototype features using a number of different prototyping methodologies that meet user needs as well as technical and business needs
- Happy to participate in user research and can make design decisions based on qualitative and quantitative data
- Understands the need for compliance to accessibility standards and can work to Assisted Digital needs
- Works closely with project team to design features that meet business and user need
- Participate in show and tells, advises wider team of benefits of design

DESIRABLE
- Awareness of the role of strategy in projects
- Incorporates IA standards in the design process
- Demonstrable understanding of critical thinking
