**Salary Range**: £30,000 - £50,000 (Depending on Experience)
**About Us**: Hunter Mason are representing a well-established construction and buildings maintenance company located in the heart of Gloucester. With a reputation for excellence in delivering construction projects and maintenance services, we are expanding our team and seeking an experienced Estimator to play a crucial role in our continued success.
**Role and Responsibilities**: As an Estimator, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely cost estimates for construction projects across various sectors. Reporting to the Senior Management, your key responsibilities will include:
- Analysing project specifications and requirements to develop comprehensive cost estimates.
- Collaborating with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
- Conducting site visits and assessments to understand project scope and potential challenges.
- Preparing detailed quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns.
- Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
- Keeping abreast of industry trends, material costs, and market conditions.
- Contributing to the development of bid proposals and presentations.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.
- Knowledge of estimating software and tools.
- Experience working across multiple sectors is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
