We are looking for a post-doctoral researcher to conduct numerical and analytical studies of elastic turbulence.

**The Opportunity**:
The post is for a post-doctoral researcher in the field of physics of complex fluids at the School of Physics and Astronomy of the University of Edinburgh. **The successful applicant will use analytical and numerical techniques to study the phenomenon of elastic turbulence - chaotic motion exhibited by flows of polymer solutions at negligible inertia. The position is for 3 years; the successful applicant will be supervised by Prof. Alexander Morozov.**

**Your skills and attributes for success**:

- A PhD in Physics, Applied Mathematics, or Chemical/Mechanical Engineering
- A proven track record in fluid dynamics of Newtonian/complex fluids
- Previous experience with High-Performance Computing will be advantageous Track record in transition to turbulence, coherent structures, dynamical systems and understanding of spectral methods will be advantageous.
