We are looking for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in High-Pressure Neutron Diffraction.

**The Opportunity**:
Following a recent successful bid for funding from EPSRC we are seeking a PDRA to join the School’s programme of neutron scattering studies of simple-molecular systems at megabar pressures. The successful applicant will join the school’s High-Pressure Chemical Physics Group and will undertake a programme of research based at Edinburgh’s Centre for Science at Extreme Conditions and at the Spallation Neutron Source at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in the United States.

**Your skills and attributes for success**:

- A PhD (awarded or submitted) in Physics, Chemistry, Earth Sciences or other relevant discipline.
- Expertise in the use of diamond anvil cells for experimental studies at high pressure.
- Experience of work at X-ray or Neutron central facilities.
- Expertise in writing and using software to analyse scattering data. The ability to communicate complex research results both orally and through written work.
