We are looking for an enthusiastic Service Manager / Deputy Manager who has passion, commitment and innovative thinking towards Learning Disabilities support for people of all abilities
The home is a specialist service for adults with autism, learning difficulties and challenging behaviour.
It is a 10-bed residential home situated in, Huddersfield.
We are looking for an experienced, motivated Service Manager who is up for a challenge, as it needs some development. The service users are settled, but the service needs an energetic, passionate Management team to lead the way
**Responsibilities**
Provide effective leadership to the Support team, monitoring and ensuring the delivery of high standards of support to the service user, ensuring you are an exemplary role model at all times
Support the Registered Manager to build team cohesion and skills base to ensure the services are responsive to the needs of service users
Work effectively with the Registered Manager, keeping them informed of any changes, issues or concerns in relation to the Service, team, service user or work undertaken within your role
Support the Registered Manager to ensure compliance with CQC and H&S regulations, CQUIN, BQAF, Contracts compliance, IPC and environmental health standards
Ensure close observation and policing of compliance standards at all times, taking action promptly in relation to poor performance, working with the Operational Manager to ensure prompt resolution
Carry out initial comprehensive assessment of new referrals in partnership with the multi-disciplinary team and liaise with the Registered Manager as to their suitability for the service, or the Operational Manager in the absence of the Registered Manager
Ensure that Support packages are person centred, based on up to date best practice guidance and meet the needs of the service users and support them to meet their aspirations and life choices, including the right to take positive risks.
Ensure support plans and risk assessments are evaluated and revised (if required) monthly at a minimum or immediately following changes in need.
Carry out robust risk assessment for service users and ensure support plans and documentation reflect the controls required to manage or control those risks.
Lead and monitor the development, ongoing evolvement and implementation of a high quality activities programme, which meets service users' needs and choices, and promotes best outcomes for them
Be fully aware of and implement the Protection of Vulnerable Adults Guidelines and ensure all staff adhere to the Safeguarding policy and reporting process at all time
Monitor quality and compliance through audit, including QA, cleaning, medication, H&S, documentation and Managers observational audit, including development and implementation of action plans to drive improvements.
Escalation of risks and environmental issues to the Registered Manager, Operational Manager, Governance Lead and H&S Officer in a timely/effective manner in accordance with policy and procedure
Effectively carry out the functions of the Registered Manager during their absence; involving the Group Operational Manager or Group Governance Lead where appropriate
Carry out staff supervisions, induction or appraisals in line with company Performance Framework informing the Registered Manager of issues so that action can be agreed and taken where appropriate
Attend all mandatory training and any other training designated by the Registered Manager
Any other reasonable duties that will be expected from time to time as service needs, standards and guidelines change,
