**Description**:
Geldards LLP is a leading regional law firm with offices in Cardiff, Derby, Nottingham and London. We are currently recruiting for a Legal Assistant to join our Private Client team in our Cardiff office.

In this role you will be key player in the Private Client team in Cardiff, primarily providing legal support to the team and the Associate in the running of their full caseload of estate and trust matters and to take initial enquiries from potential clients

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To take details of initial enquiries to then discuss with the team
- To attend meetings with the team to take details of the estate/trust matter
- To liaise with team administrator for file opening, file set up, diarising critical dates and fully assist team with estate and trust caseload.
- To take responsibility for diarising and dealing with regular payments in/out on trust matters.
- To achieve an annual chargeable time and income target to be fixed each financial year.
- To diarise client appointments and set up all estate/trust meetings and appointments/visits to estate/trust properties.
- To communicate with clients and beneficiaries as required.
- To support marketing and business development activity within the team, for example attending client review meetings and marketing events.
- To maintain and develop technical knowledge through CPD training.
- To undertake other reasonable duties commensurate with the grade and post.

**Benefits**:

- 35 hour working week - Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing to a maximum of 30 days for additional years of service)
