- The Internal Audit Team plays an essential role in supporting the Council in achieving its objectives and outcomes, through a review of its governance and risk management processes and systems of internal control. We have an exciting opportunity within the Council where you’ll become part of the Internal Audit Team and will deliver a wide range of internal audits across all Council activities, including audit assignments for the Council and St Leger Homes. You will also gain exposure to counter fraud work.
- We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Internal Auditor under the Apprenticeship scheme within Corporate Resources. You will be joining our small but talented and highly regarded team, who are committed to making positive change in the organisation. We are a collaborative, supportive and proactive team when it comes to sharing knowledge and developing our skills.
- We are looking for someone with a willingness and strong commitment to continue their learning and development and to undertake professional exams and become a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
- This is a permanent appointment to a post in the team and has excellent career advancement prospects with progression through the post’s salary range as you meet milestones in your learning, exams and as your experience and skills develop. The post starts as a Trainee Internal Auditor, quickly progressing to Internal Auditor and then to a Senior Auditor. You will have a passion for learning and excellent interpersonal and written skills and a desire to gather facts and information about a variety of service areas across the Council and St Leger Homes. In addition to this you will have excellent communications and IT skills which will develop as you progress in the team.
- We provide our team members with high quality equipment and systems to work remotely, as well as at the state of the art office facilities in the Civic Office in Doncaster town centre. This post will involve mainly working from home.
