ABOUT THE DIVISION

Our Specialist Services and Major Trauma Centre form Division D, and consist of Cardiovascular & Thoracics, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Wessex Neurological Centre & Neurosciences, Wessex Spinal Service, and Radiology. The Cardiovascular & Thoracic and Neurosciences Care Groups are both regional centres that provide specialist care and treatment to a population of approximately 3 million people. As well as serving as specialist regional centres, the Division offers many exciting opportunities for career development and progression.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
WHAT YOU’LL DO

The role will work within a dedicated administration team to facilitate the smooth running of the patient journey by ensuring that coordinated and streamlined administrative processes revolve around the patient and their individual needs. You will be expected to organise your workload with the consultants and their team and co-ordinate their activities with other Patient Administrators to ensure that an efficient service is provided. You will need to adhere and oversee the patient journey in line with the NHS/UHS referral to treatment (RTT) targets.

You will be required to liaise with patients, GPs, and hospital staff along with other healthcare providers.

We are looking for individuals with excellent communication skills, the ability to work well under pressure, a flexible team player and a desire to provide a first-class service for patients and clinical teams. You must be confident, diplomatic, and able to work in a busy environment with a pleasant disposition. You will need to have a flexible approach to a demanding workload and changing priorities.
