**About the Role**:
As part of the Regional Leadership Team, you will provide leadership, guidance, and direction to ensure the region delivers its core service in a safe, efficient, and effective manner. You will be a role model of RNLI leadership to all staff and volunteers in the region.
In this role you will be responsible for leading water safety and drowning prevention in the region to ensure a joined-up approach to water safety with maximum impact on lifesaving. You will understand and evaluate the risk of death or serious incidents regionally in order to develop and lead local prevention strategies and develop and deliver the regional drowning reduction plan and link it to the national picture.
This is an incredible opportunity to lead, support, influence and manage a team of highly motivated people, all working together for the common goal of saving lives and preventing drowning. Your team will comprise of Water Safety Education Manager, Water Safety Delivery Support, Prevention and Education volunteers and dedicated lifesavers across our RNLI communities.

**Key responsibilities**:
- Be an active member of the Regional Leadership Team, and its planning function demonstrating the highest levels of collaborative working and collective responsibility and provide cover for other leadership roles as required.
- Work collaboratively to identify and manage risk to safety, health, and environment, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards, policies and procedures.
- Manage people and resources to ensure the delivery of the regional plan, ensuring delivery to budget and managing capacity within the regional team.
- Responsible for all water safety, partnerships, and education activity in region.
- Provide guidance and influence to develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate targeted Drowning Reduction Plans for geographical areas in region, underpinned by appropriate evidence and evaluation.
- Inform Regional Leadership Team of significant regional risk to life and plan strategy to save life.
