Consultant in Restorative Dentistry

Part Time substantive position 8PA’s per week(with the option to extend to 10PA’s).

Applications are invited for the post of Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at The Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust (RCHT).

This new post has been designed to provide restorative dentistry to Cornwall's population. The post holder will deliver the entire spectrum of restorative dentistry procedures, particularly in relation to the oral rehabilitation of patients with head and neck cancer. This will involve pre-surgical and pre-chemo/radiotherapy assessments and treatment, inter-operative support for the head and neck surgical team and oral rehabilitation following primary treatment. The post holder will be expected to attend the Head and Neck MDT and work closely with the Orthodontic, Oral Surgery and Max Fax team based in the Unit.

- Developing leadership skill and qualifications
- Opportunities to teach
- Working with our Primary Care colleagues
- We would also fund a 1 year course part time at Exeter University PGCert in Healthcare Leadership and Management.

Time will be allocated for a fixed period within the post holders job plan to accommodate this opportunity to grow both themselves and the service.
