Are you a proactive administrator with experience in a higher education setting? Are you looking for a 3-4-month temporary assignment with a blend of admin, HR and financial tasks? Signature Recruitment is thrilled to partner with a leading university in London to recruit a Business and Research Support Officer. This is a temporary, full-time role offering an immediate start. You'll enjoy a flexible working structure, initially spending 4 days on campus in the first week and 3 days in the second week, with increased flexibility after the first month.

Your role as Business and Research Support Officer places you within the close-knit Professional Services team. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include financial support such as handling purchase orders, managing invoices, and overseeing expense claims. You’ll also be tasked with inbox management and updating data on internal systems and spreadsheets. Additionally, you’ll engage in HR activities such as checking compliance, liaising with academics for reviews, and arranging interview panels. You’ll offer ad hoc administrative assistance as required, as well as support with audit queries.

**Business and Research Support Officer Key Responsibilities**:

- Serve as the first point of contact for the school, coordinating internal and external inquiries.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the School’s Senior Leadership, including diary management for the Head of School.
- Oversee finance transactions, including processing payments, expenses, and invoices.
- Manage day-to-day administration of research grants and ensure compliance with financial policies.
- Conduct HR tasks such as Right to Work checks and coordinating recruitment panels.
- Assist in auditing activities and maintaining accurate budgeting records.

**Business and Research Support Officer Key Skills**:

- Proficiency in workload management and database management.
- Experience in finance and human resources, with exposure to higher education processes.
- Strong communication, organisation, and multitasking abilities.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 3 months

**Salary**: £18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
