Northampton, United Kingdom The National Autistic Society Full time

Help transform lives by joining our team.

A breakthrough can seem like the smallest thing, but it can make the world of difference to someone on the autism spectrum. By becoming a Positive Behavioural Support Practitioner, you’ll help make breakthroughs happen more often.

You may have a personal connection, a desire to work with or real life experiences of working with autistic people. You will have experience in supporting PBS for teams supporting autistic people and if you share our values and are willing to make a difference to the lives of autistic people, we’d love to hear from you.
Along with a host of benefits - from shopping discounts to flexible working and a competitive pension scheme - we’ll make sure you get excellent autism-specific training to further your career in social care.

NAS' services in Northamptonshire are a specialist service seeking to improve the quality of life of the people we support through the use of Autism specific approaches such as active support, inclusive communication and TEACCH.
You’ll have a strong working knowledge of good practice in PBS and also the use of PBM. Current or previous experience of supporting individuals who display challenging behaviour is important.

You will either possess a BTEC Level 4 or 5 in PBS or a relevant and equivalent degree. Possession of a driving licence (minimum one year) is essential.
If you’re looking for a PBS career with the National Autistic Society, you will be supported through a host of development opportunities in autism practice, and standards of care.

Visit our website to find out more about who we are and what we do.

Successful applicants will be required to complete the relevant safeguarding checks.
