Job Summary:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and efficient individual to join our growing parts department. This is a full-time role and will cover 40 hours per week as well as additional overtime as and when required. The parts assistant will be required to help run the stores department, deal with customers both on the phone and in person, ship orders and run regular stock checks. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone to be part of our growing family run business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deal with customers both in the stores department and on the phone in a helpful and efficient manner.
- Booking in / checking deliveries and organizing stock rotation.
- Pick kit lists for engineering jobs and orders for shipping.
- Use software system “Platinum” to sort stock for purchasing/sales orders. Training will be given on this system.
- Work closely with the engineering department to ensure all parts are available for in-house jobs.
- Help with returns from customers and in-house jobs.
- Conduct regular mini stock checks.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to deal professionally with customers and colleagues alike.
- Organized and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of computer systems.
