Lester Aldridge wishes to recruit a Revenue Controller for our busy Finance team in the Bournemouth office.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

**Billing Functions**:

- ** **Preparation of client bills on to Aderant from bill requests sent from the fee earning teams
- Liaising with fee earners and admin support in respect of draft bills and to finalising draft bills
- Dealing with amendments to bills after posting to the system
- Preparing credit notes
- Process of WIP write offs and ensuring the write off policy is correctly followed
- Process bills to SOS system (as cover when required).
**Credit Control Functions**:

- To dealing with credit control tasks and associated duties
- Identifying client to bill transfers and liaising with our Accounts team
- Providing copy bills, statements of account and other information requested by clients
- Taking card payments by telephone
- Liaising with fee earning teams to ensure all client queries are dealt with promptly
- Regular meetings with fee earners to review both aged WIP and debtor reports
- Arranging for court action in exceptional cases.

**SKILLS AND COMPETENCE**:

- GCSE or equivalent in English Language and Maths
- Accounts experience
- Previous experience in professional services/ legal environment desirable
- Strong numeric skills
- Ability to relate to others and be a team player is essential
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Efficient with good organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload and re-schedule as required
- Self-motivated and flexible attitude to work and time, being conscientious with a common sense approach to work
- Professional and credible, with the ability to act with tact and discretion and to maintain confidentiality are essential
- Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
- Effective diary management skills
- Polite, friendly and confident telephone manner
- Willingness to learn
