An opportunity has arisen for an motivated and passionate individual to join the Women's Health senior management team. Your leadership will guarantee the delivery of high quality care from admission to discharge.

This post will involve being responsible for the development and implementation of service improvement and/ or policies in their area of expertise. The Clinical Matron will work closely with the OSM and lead consultants to provide day to day professional leadership with a significant focus on improving the experience and care for patients.

The CM will be responsible for ensuring patients receive high quality, evidenced based compassionate care and ensuring that staff are supported and developed to deliver high quality care in accordance with the Trust values.

This is a cross site role and is supported by a range of band 6 and 7 senior nurses who are based on the wards and in outpatient areas.

The Clinical Matron will demonstrate enhanced clinical skills and provide clinical expertise both within their own clinical environment and across the organisation as needed to support the Organisational Strategy in the achievement of professional, operational and clinical governance objectives.

Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (HHFT) provides hospital services to around 570,000 people living in Hampshire and parts of West Berkshire, and specialist services to patients from all over the country. We deliver a full range of district hospital services in a variety of locations.

Women’s Health provides specialist services across all of our hospital sites including breast surgery, general gynaecology, colposcopy, and urogynaecology, women’s health physiotherapy, fertility and early pregnancy assessment. Our teams are experienced in delivering specialist care throughout all stages of the care pathway.

The breast service is available at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital and at Royal Hampshire County Hospital. Clinics provide a range of services including one-stop clinics for suspected cancer, breast surgery and family history clinics.

In 2019, we expanded our outpatient services at both hospitals to offer an enhanced ambulatory gynaecology service for menstrual disorders in new facilities: The DOVE Suite in Basingstoke and the ATL treatment room in Winchester.

The Women’s Health Service have two main wards offering specialised in-patient care to women located within Florence Portal House at Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Winchester and the Sherborne building, Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital
