Role: Teaching Assistant

Location: Gorton

**Salary**: £85+ per day - Independent Provision

Hours: Full Time - 8:30am to 3:45pm; January Start

Simply Education is working with a School in Gorton with a great environment for learning. Pupils in this school can enjoy great facilities for the pupils to enjoy at break times to help them to relax and unwind. We are looking to recruit an outstanding teaching assistant who is happy to provide classroom support and keep the pupils engaged during extra - curricular activities.

We are searching for someone who engages well with the pupils and has strong behaviour management qualities. Pupils in the school are in Keystage 3 and 4 and have diagnosed SEND and SEMH with some pupils being undiagnosed. You must be able to build rapport with both pupils and school team members. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be calm and nurturing with the ability to build great relationships with pupils. Each day will be different from the last therefore being adaptable is very important. Pupils will need to be supported in their learning to ensure that they can progress either back into mainstream education or go onto work based learning or further education.

Key responsibilities:
Building nurturing and fun relationships with pupils

Supporting individuals and small groups of pupils with their learning

Helping to maintain engagement and manage behaviour.

Assisting with administrative tasks, such as grading and record-keeping.

Preparing and setting up lessons that are engaging and informative.

Supervising at break times.

Supporting with individualized student programs.

Communicating with teachers and support staff
