**The Company**
Our client is a leading manufacturing business that has undergone significant investment and is currently undertaking an exciting transformation programme. As part of this transformation and in-line with their ambitious growth targets they are looking to appointa high calibre and experienced Interim Managing Director to lead the business through a period of tremendous, change, opportunity and growth.
**The Role**
As an experienced Managing Director you will lead, manage and drive the commercial and operational performance of the business; key responsibilities will be to:
- Coordinate and drive the company's commercial and operational activities to ensure maximum overall financial return
- Ensure the continuous and efficient running of manufacturing operations at the lowest cost consistent with quality, quantity and delivery requirements
- Identify, recommend and then implement the strategic and tactical actions required to meet those agreed turnover and profitability targets
- Establish all the necessary resources required to meet monthly, annual and future objectives based on the sales plan and plant capacity
- Initiate and support business change initiatives, leading by example
- Drive the development and introduction of new products into production, improving manufacturing capability and expertise
- Capitalise on the significant strengths and information already held within the business in order to maximise commercial opportunities
**The Person**
The role requires an experienced Managing Director with current or recent experience in a low-medium volume manufacturing environment who can demonstrate their capability and achievements in:
- Significantly improving operational performance
- Implementing and embedding modern manufacturing KPIs
- Making the business more agile and responsive to customer needs
- To prepare the business to begin the "lean manufacturing" journey
- Leading a business and the management team through genuine "cultural change"
