Waking Night Support Worker

Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children? Do you have a nurturing and compassionate nature? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dedicated team as a Waking Night Staff member at our reputable children's home.
As a Waking Night Staff member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of the children during the night hours.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing supervision and support to the children throughout the night, maintaining a safe and secure environment.
- Conducting regular checks and monitoring the children's well-being, responding promptly to any needs or concerns.
- Administering medication as required, following established protocols and procedures. Documenting observations and incidents accurately, maintaining clear and concise records.
- Collaborating with the daytime staff and other professionals to ensure continuity of care and effective communication
- Responding appropriately to any emergencies or crisis situations, following established protocols and guidelines.
- Promoting a positive and nurturing atmosphere, fostering a sense of security and trust for the children.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience working with children or in a similar role is preferred, but not essential.
- A compassionate and patient nature, with the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and work effectively within a team.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays. A commitment to upholding the highest standards of safeguarding and child protection.
**Salary**: £15.00 per hour
