- Adult Services**
**Responsible to: Deputy Home Manager**
**Responsible for**: Residential Support Workers
**Hours**: 39 hrs over a 7 day, flexible shift pattern, which meets the needs of the adults and the organisation.
**Main Purpose**:
- Ensure standards of service delivery comply with and exceed CQC Standards
- Ensure the service develops to keep pace with current guidance and expectation, both for adults and staff.
**General Duties**:
- Ensure that every adult is afforded safety and an opportunity to develop to their full potential within a culture of outcomes focused best-practice.
- To ensure that staff members maintain both a good working knowledge of the individuals care plan, risk assessment and PBS support plan and that the guidance from these documents are being put into practice appropriately.
- Ensure the service is delivered in line with the organisation’s Statement of Purpose
- At all times to act as an effective practice leader, offering guidance and mentorship in those circumstances where practice does not meet required standards and providing positive feedback so that excellent practice may be maintained.
- To act competently and promptly to ensure all aspects of company Safeguarding are met.
- To ensure that at all times staff members are following iMap’s key principles of understand, empower and aspire.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to written reports in relation to our adult’s behaviour and progress.
- Contribute to individual planning meetings and reviews as required.
- Work effectively as part of a multi-agency planning team to meet adults need and maintain contact with a wide range of outside professionals, such as general practitioners, dentists, therapists etc.
- To appropriately complete health and safety assessments, ensure the cleanliness of the home, follow health and safety procedures, organise and complete documentation for fire drills and other safety audits.
- Ensure that all maintenance and repair tasks at the service are acted upon, reported on and made safe immediately.
- To monitor, through personal observation and scrutiny of records, behaviours and relationships between adults to ensure wellbeing and development in both group and individual settings.
- Ensure that staff plan, complete and evaluate activities with children and young peoples and that every opportunity is taken to create appropriate social and leisure activities for those who use the service.
- Support the Deputy to provide appropriate levels of staffing, suitably trained and supported, to deliver this aim.
- To ensure regular, formal supervision, which includes oversight of planning, performance and development, provide hands-on mentoring, modelling and guidance.
- To make sure that all records are up to date and that the staff teams recording is legible and meets best practice standards. Feedback and mentorship should be offered so that these high standards may be maintained.
- Complete a wide range of administrative tasks necessary for the smooth running of the service, including auditing and following all financial protocols and ensuring that these are followed correctly by the staff team.
- Take part in Level 1 on-calls for the adult services as part of a rota-based system.
