We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced FP&A & Marketing Financial Controller, to play a key part in shaping the future of the Yogurt & Desserts business unit, based in Market Drayton, Shropshire.

**Key Responsibilities - Ownership of Marketing Controlling**:

- Overall horizontal and holistic ownership of Marketing Financial Plans
- Operate as the “right hand man” to the Marketing Director providing key insights, support and challenge on day to day basis and on strategic topics
- Rigorous and consistent financial evaluation of innovation funnel

**Ownership of S&OP Cycle Financial Forecast**:

- Update the fiscal year P&L forecast taking into account latest volume, revenue, cost and overhead assumptions
- Provide full transparency to the Leadership Team on the outlook
- Prepare R&O’s and provide choices in order to close any gaps in terms of hitting the fiscal year targets

**Ownership of P&L month end close and reporting cycle**:

- Ownership of the business unit management accounts
- Manage the month end close meeting
- Explain key variances vs forecast and provide transparency of any options on final adjustments before closing the books
- Prepare all key reporting (local and group) to timetable and to standards

**Ownership of strategy and budget financials**:

- Gatekeeper of the strategic plan financial build
- Partnering closely with the Marketing Director, MD and FD
- Owner of the overall budget timetable (strategy Year 1)
- Responsibility for P&L budget planning build
- Ownership of initiative tracking and reporting and submission of all group reporting relating to strategy and budget

**Ownership of FP&A core processes and systems**:

- Management and development of the Group planning and reporting system (Board)
- Develop and implement a continuous improvement agenda

**FP&A & Marketing Financial Controller - Team**:

- Management of 3 direct reports

**Key skills and experience**:

- Qualified, senior Financial Controller who demonstrates very strong analytical skills
- Has the ability to influence others through key insights, including Director level
- Has experience of operating in a fast paced organisation
- Strong leader and can manage, motivate and develop a team of qualified finance professionals
- Experience of managing FP&A processes. Track record of continuous improvement
