Quantity Surveyor/Estimator 

Market Drayton 

£45,000 to £55,000 per annum based on experience

Monday to Friday 

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor/ Estimator to join a head office in Market Drayton . Playing a crucial role in managing project costs, ensuring financial efficiency, and maintaining contractual and regulatory compliance throughout the construction process you will be responsible for the following

Preparing detailed cost estimates for masonry projects, including materials, labour, equipment, and overheads.
Developing project budgets and ensuring they align with client expectations and financial constraints
Preparing tender documents, including bills of quantities, for the procurement of materials and subcontractor services.
Evaluating and analysing submitted tenders to recommend the most cost-effective options.
Managing contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring all parties fulfil their contractual obligations.
Preparing and issuing contract documents, including variations, claims, and final accounts.:
Monitoring project expenditures to ensure they remain within budget.
Implementing cost control measures and identifying areas for cost savings.
Preparing regular financial reports and forecasts for project stakeholders
Certifying completed work and authorizing payments.
Identifying potential financial and operational risks in masonry projects.
Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure smooth project execution.
Advising on cost-effective construction methods and materials that meet project specifications.:
Addressing and resolving any financial or contractual disputes that arise during the project.
Providing expert advice on claims and variations to avoid litigation.
Ensuring all work complies with relevant building codes, regulations, and standards.
Conducting site inspections to verify the quality and accuracy of masonry work.
Maintaining detailed records of all financial transactions, contracts, and project correspondence.
Preparing and presenting detailed reports to clients and stakeholders on project progress, financial status, and any issues encountered.
You will need 

Ability to understand and work from architectural drawings to produce detailed quotations.
A minimum of five year's experience in the building trade and preferably have restoration experience and knowledge.
Knowledge of all types of masonry conservation and restoration desirable but not essential.
Flexible and able to work well under pressure and meet simultaneous deadlines / targets.
Proficient in Bluebeam and Microsoft Office.
Full UK Manual Driving Licence is essential.
