If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you Our esteemed hospital is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our Waiting List Team in the Eye Clinic and play a crucial role in coordinating commitments and ensuring smooth operations for the Ophthalmology Department.

As an Administrative Assistant for our Waiting List Team, you will be responsible for liaising with the team to arrange, cancel, or alter commitments related to the hospital's theatre lists. Your exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail will contribute to the efficient management of patient dates for surgery and scheduling, ultimately enhancing the overall patient experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate closely with the Waiting List Team to arrange appointments, surgeries, and procedures for patients on the waiting list.
- Liaise with patients, medical staff, and other relevant departments to coordinate and schedule appointments, ensuring optimal use of resources.
- Assist in the monitoring and updating of the waiting list, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Communicate effectively with patients to provide information, answer inquiries, and address concerns regarding appointments, waiting times, and rescheduling.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the smooth execution of commitments and ensure timely patient care.
- Organise and maintain relevant documentation, such as patient files, appointment records, and administrative forms.
- Support the Waiting List Team in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with other administrative staff to provide comprehensive administrative support to the department.
