We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated Digital Projects Officer who will work as a part of a successful team that is responsible for delivering our organisation’s ambitious digital strategy.

As Digital Projects Officer you will work under the Digital Projects Manager and support on the delivery of our strategic objectives specified within our strategic themes of digital transformation, digital skills & inclusion, data & collaboration and infrastructure and connectivity.

The postholder will be responsible for working with service areas across the organisation to ensure the benefits of digital technology are maximised within our organisation and to drive efficient service delivery.

In addition the postholder will support the Digital Projects Manager in the development and delivery of major digital projects for our City, which will include working collaboratively with key stakeholders and partners in areas such as digital inclusion and digital infrastructure.

Whilst this post is offered on a full-time basis, Newport City Council are a flexible employer and appreciate the importance of having a meaningful work-life balance. This post offers the opportunity to work flexibly, to meet the demands of service delivery, together with the demands of home life. This role includes opportunities to work from home and Council locations, in line with business needs.
