**JOB DESCRIPTION**
The CSHR Casework Project and Technical (PAT) Team provides a project and support service to all of our stakeholders, our internal team, suppliers and clients.
The role is fast paced and involves problem solving whilst managing several areas of work and ensuring that we meet our Service Level Agreements (SLA).
**The Apprenticeship**:
This apprenticeship scheme provides a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about developing digital and business skills whilst gaining a BTEC Diploma Qualification. You will work towards completing a BTEC Diploma in Digital Application Support during an eighteen-month fixed term contract. This is a structured apprenticeship programme, with the possibility of a permanent role as Projects and Technical Administrative Officer as part of the HR Casework Team within the Ministry of Justice. The learning and development support offering will be tailored to individuals, who will be supported by a mentor, experienced colleagues and the external training provider.
**Job Purpose**
- Using a comprehensive range of business systems (including the Case Management Application system, Cloud Desktop IT solution and 8x8 Manager Advice Line (MAL) system) to enable the MoJ HR Casework Team to deliver on Business Objectives - training will be provided.
- Supporting with the creation and maintenance of the HR Casework sites on MS SharePoint Online will be a key element of the role.
- Processing First Line Support for IT activities for our business systems and requests, ensuring requests are dealt with efficiently and any issues are escalated appropriately.
- Facilitating the issue and return of IT equipment and maintaining asset registers.
- Monitoring the MAL - identifying and raising any concerns in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Impact assessing any concerns identified and raising appropriately, putting forward potential solutions and taking part in problem solves.
- Supporting the PAT Team in the delivery of internal projects.
- Taking part in working groups and the development of new processes and/or business change as appropriate.
- Supporting meetings where required, booking appropriate rooms, greeting visitors and preparing the boardroom, (where approppriate).
- Remaining compliant with the GDPR/Data Protection Act by processing data accordingly and deal with information appropriately. Take steps to prevent data losses.
**Skills & Qualification**
**Essential**:
- A good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Products e.g. Excel and PowerPoint.
- Effective and appropriate communication skills.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Display a customer focused approach to delivering a service.
- Display experience of being detail conscious and accurate.
- Ability to work independently, taking responsibility for own time management and the quality of own work.
**Desirable**:
- Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office Products e.g. Excel and PowerPoint and MS Teams.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn MS SharePoint.
- Ability to formulate considered suggestions to improve processes.
